[ Job Description ]

Our client is a global financial institution offering comprehensive banking services, investment solutions, and wealth management across multiple countries.

They are looking for the individual to develop and oversee the anti-financial crime risk framework for the financial institution. Offer advisory services to promote compliance awareness and adherence, while effectively identifying and addressing risks.

[ Responsibilities ]

Establish and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework (AML/CFT, Sanctions, Proliferation Financing, Bribery & Corruption) aligned with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies.

Oversee and manage day-to-day compliance operations, including KYC/IDV processes, monitoring, and reporting on compliance risks and incidents.

Serve as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to ensure effective implementation of AML/CTF measures.

Provide expert advice on compliance matters to internal stakeholders, including wealth managers and financial advisors.

Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance reviews to identify and address gaps or weaknesses.

Establish the framework for Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessments on Financial Crime Risks.

Stay updated on regulatory developments and emerging risks to enhance the compliance program.

Develop and deliver compliance training to enhance staff awareness of obligations.

Maintain effective relationships with external regulatory bodies and industry associations.

Establish a compliance governance framework and structure for the organization.

Develop appropriate management information systems (MIS) for internal reporting.

Collaborate with internal departments (legal, operations, risk management, IT) to integrate compliance into business processes.

Promote a culture of Data Analytics and Automation in compliance systems.

Develop processes to comply with regulatory reporting requirements.

Ensure appropriate resource planning and budgeting in alignment with organizational goals.

Foster employee engagement and a performance-driven culture in line with organizational policies.

[ Qualification and Experience ]

Graduate/Post Graduate degree.

Over 10 years of experience in banking or relevant fields, including at least three years as an MLRO.

Professional compliance certifications from recognized institutes.

Knowledge of compliance, AML/CFT, and Central Bank regulations in the payments industry.

Strong decision-making, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
