Job Description
The Business Insights Team Leader provides strategic, analytical, and technical support for business intelligence activities. The Team Leader leverages data to gain key insight into business opportunities, and effectively presents these insights to business stakeholders. The Team Leader is also heavily involved with the distribution and successful delivery of all BI reports
The Business Insights Team Leader manages the business analytics, data mining, research and reporting functions to support all business initiatives with required insights for informed decision making on direction of digital and business development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Define a comprehensive analytics framework in line with emerging business needs; manage the organizing and sharing of data and collaborate with business leadership to build a strong and robust business intelligence platform; identify and deliver digital analytics using predictive modelling and machine leaning (ml) capabilities to drive better business outcomes and forecasting.
- Understand key behaviours which drive consumer acquisition, retention, and engagement to enable decision making about product strategy and features, digital tools to drive the development of the analytics framework and support key strategic decision making.
- Manage the designing of the business intelligence (BI) solutions to ensure alignment with the set digital and business strategies and plans.
- Lead and guide the provision of key analysis to drive business strategy and reach digital and business objectives.
- Review and approve the development of the required dashboards and the implementation of high-level reports to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Review and approve the developed technical solutions for any BI related product/solution in alignment with the international standards.
- Manage the market intelligence reporting and serve as a single point of contact for the source of BI information to ensure that all queries are answered and acted upon promptly.
- Manage the training and support provided to the team on effective transfer the knowledge and build capability within team to support successful utilization of BI tools for effective data gathering and analytics.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team focused on developing and enhancing analytics and insights providing the state-of-the-art competencies to produce quality deliverables.
- Drive key analytics projects using advanced statistical techniques, marketing mix analytics, and other initiatives to support informed decision making by business leaders.
- Ensure consistency on analytical approaches, high quality, and strategy frameworks across organisation.
- Optimize strategic flow of delivery across business and technology by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement with measurable outcomes
- Ensure that portfolio is well managed in delivery controls and compliance.
Relationship Management
- Manage key relationships with the internal and external customers to create and execute effective customer communication and ensure that these relationships continuously support the achievement of the digital strategy.

- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control

- Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices andCode of Practices.

- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, or econometrics. Master’s degree highly preferred
- Advanced use of analytical tools such as Oracle BI
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 10 years of experience in research and analytics management with at least 4 years in roles with growing supervisory accountabilities.
- Experience working with or understanding of emerging digital technologies and analytic tools
- A creative mind and a strong focus on delivery

- Organizational, analytical, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
- Proven track record in managing stakeholders (internal & external)

- Fluent in English and preferably Arabic
