Operations Manager
Job Description
To oversee the overall technical submission, estimation and operations of the Oil and Gas team to ensure proper implementation of projects and growth. To ensure projects resources are being utilized efficiently complying or exceeding the project targets in terms of scope, time, and budget with the objective of ensuring all projects executed by the company are delivered on time, within budget and up to the standards and expectations of the clients.
This position report to CEO.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall execution and profitability of the O&G projects
- Oversee all tender’s technical submission.
- Lead the O&G team in successfully executing all O&G related projects
- Support the Business Development team to profitably grow the sector
- Support the estimation activities for related projects
- Build relations across the supply chain including clients and supplier base
- Benchmark and collect intelligence related to the sector and work with the Executive Team in developing and implementing sector related plans
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
- 15-20 years of relevant and progressive experience in the construction industry
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience focused on the UAE Oil & Gas sector with demonstrated track record in delivering projects and building client relations
- Direct work experience with a distribution Group and subsidiaries is a must
- Ability to manage and oversee large and complex EPC O&G projects through all phases
- Ability to highlight and manage risk at early stage of pricing and execution
- Deep understanding of the UAE O&G industry including knowledge of various stakeholders and good understanding of industry dynamics
- Well-connected with the various local and international supply chain players
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communications skills
