Job Description
Under supervision of Group CFO, Treasury Manager is required to oversee and undertake of the Group’s operational treasury Management.The role required monitoring day-to-day operations and external funding requirements in compliance with the Group’s established policies and procedures. Developing a strong long-term financial strategy including monitoring of dealing with banks and other financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operational responsibilities include management of the centralized treasury department including cash management operations, management of the Group’s FX exposures, loan portfolio management and related reporting, forecasting and treasury systems.
- The role will also offer the opportunity to support key Treasury initiatives and contribute to the further development of the Group Treasury function.
- Full review and analysis of the group and development funding requirements and performance across the treasury related items including exposure management, cash management, working capital management and any ad hoc requirements / borrowing. – Manage and restructure existing loans of the group, obtain and facilitate new / additional loans from foreign and local banks / lenders, in line with business requirements.
- Monitor the Group’s loan portfolio and facilities, ensuring that: all payments and drawdowns are completed in a timely manner, on-going requirements of the loans are met, and information and covenants are complied with according to legal agreements.
- Regularly review treasury policies & procedures, ensuring that they are implemented through tight operational practices and systems of work.
- Responsible for the accuracy, completeness and reconciliation of all financial information processed within the Treasury team, ensuring the integrity of financial data, and monitoring the reconciliation of bank and loan accounts
- Produce short, medium, and long-term cashflow forecasts.
- Day to day supervision of treasury activities including centralized cash and debt facilities management.
- Manage long-term and short-term loans & Cashflow structure. – Monitor and manage the group’s relationships with banks and financial service providers and manage foreign currency exposure and payments. – Conduct benchmark studies of banks and their services, monitor loans service fees, and address quality issues. – Evaluate, develop, and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies. – Recommend, implement, and maintain process improvements, financing and working capital management across the group.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance or relevant fields.
- “CTP, MBA, or CFA”.
- English/ Arabic fluency, both spoken and written. Arabic Must be mother tongue
- Good command of Treasury applicable software
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience of which at least (5) in a managerial position in a shareholding company (real estate / property management) in GCC/ Middle East in the private sector (i.e. neither governmental sector nor banking sector) with loans portfolio at minimum USD 2.5 billion.
- Solid Track record of obtaining loans with minimum USD 500 million each (yearly).
- Background knowledge of Islamic Sharia Compliance loans
- Experience in building complex financial models to evaluate multiple scenarios for long term financial plans in line with the borrowing activities required by the management
